Bytenauta S.L. is not required to appoint a data protection officer. Any question about your data is dealt with at that email address or at the address above.

What data we process and where it comes from

We only process the data you give us, in two ways:

  • Assessment form. The form on the website does not send anything to any server: when you press “Prepare the email”, your email program opens with a message already written, and you decide whether to send it. What reaches us is that email, with your name, your email address and the tasks you tell us about.
  • Email. If you write to us directly at info@bytenauta.com, we process the data you include in the message.

We do not collect data from other sources, we do not build profiles and we do not take automated decisions with legal effects on you. The “Kit de la pyme” (small business kit) is on GitHub (in Spanish): if you download it from there, your data during that visit is processed by GitHub (Microsoft) under its own terms, not by us.

Giving us your data is not compulsory, but without a name and an email address we cannot reply to you. What you tell us about your company is used only to understand better what you need.

What for and on what legal basis

PurposeLegal basisRetention
Replying to your enquiry made through the form or by email and, if you ask for it, preparing a proposal. Pre-contractual steps taken at your request (art. 6.1.b GDPR) and, otherwise, legitimate interest in replying to whoever writes to us (art. 6.1.f). For as long as the conversation lasts and up to one year after the last message, unless it becomes a contractual relationship, in which case the legal retention periods for commercial and tax records apply.
Dealing with your rights and with the legal obligations that apply to us. Legal obligation (art. 6.1.c GDPR). The period set by the rule that requires the data to be kept.

Where we rely on legitimate interest, we have assessed that replying to someone who writes to us is what anyone expects when sending us an email, that the data is the minimum needed and that there is no further processing. If you want the details of that assessment, ask us.

We do not send you advertising by email unless you have asked for it. We have no mailing list or newsletter.

Who else sees your data

We do not sell or pass on your data to anyone. The only ones with access to it, as processors with a signed data processing agreement, are the providers we need in order to operate:

  • Microsoft (Microsoft 365): the company email where your messages arrive. Contract with its Irish subsidiary and standard contractual clauses for transfers.
  • Cloudflare: hosts the site and protects it, and to do so processes the IP address of the connection. The same clauses for transfers.

If at any time you want to know exactly who they are and where the data is hosted, write to us and we will tell you.

Outside those cases, we will only disclose data when a law requires us to.

Transfers outside the European Union. If any of those providers processes data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission or by standard contractual clauses, with any additional measures that are needed. You can ask us for a copy of those safeguards at info@bytenauta.com.

Cookies and visit measurement

This site does not set cookies or any equivalent tracking technology, neither its own nor third-party ones. That is why you will not see a cookie banner.

We do not measure visits either. We do not know who reads each article or how many of you there are. If we ever add a counter, it will be one that does not use cookies or identify you, and we will say so here first.

Opening the website does not connect you to third parties. The fonts, the images and the code are served from bytenauta.com, which is hosted by Cloudflare as explained above. Your browser does not request anything from Google Fonts or from any other service. You only leave bytenauta.com if you click a link to another website.

Your rights

You can exercise at any time the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw any consent you have given without affecting what was processed before.

Right to object. When we process your data on the basis of legitimate interest, you have the right to object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. If you object, we stop processing it unless there are compelling grounds that prevail or the data is needed to defend claims.

Just write to info@bytenauta.com saying which right you want to exercise; if we have doubts about your identity, we will ask you to prove it. We reply within one month, which can be extended to two if the request is complex, and we will tell you if we extend it. Exercising your rights costs you nothing.

If you think we have not dealt with your request properly, you can file a complaint with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD, the Spanish Data Protection Agency), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, www.aepd.es.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. Contact emails are kept in the company mailbox, with access limited to the people on the team who deal with enquiries. We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, and we review them when something changes.

Minors

The services of Bytenauta S.L. are aimed at companies. We do not knowingly process data of children under 14; if we find that a minor has written to us, we delete the message.

Changes to this policy

If the way we process data changes, we will update this page and state the date of the review.
