The kit and the tests

This is an English translation for convenience. The Spanish version (El kit y las pruebas) is the one that applies.

The “Kit de la pyme” (small business kit) is a set of made-up data for testing tools. This page says what you can do with the kit and with the figures from those tests, and within what limits.

Where it is

The kit is a public repository on GitHub, in Spanish: github.com/Bytenauta-Org/Kit_de_la_pyme. Inside are the data, the five tasks, each with the instructions given to the tool and its criterion for a correct answer, and a Python program that repeats the test with any compatible tool and scores it the same way we do. It can be cloned or downloaded as a zip from the repository itself.

What is inside and where the data comes from

The kit is made up of the orders, emails, invoices, a contract and a receivables spreadsheet of a made-up company. Made up entirely: the company, its customers, its suppliers, the tax IDs (NIF), the addresses and the amounts. The email domains end in .example on purpose, because that suffix is reserved and cannot belong to anyone.

There is no data from Bytenauta’s clients or from any real company. Not even with permission: it is a house rule. If a name sounds familiar, it is a coincidence.

Since there is no real personal data, downloading the kit and working with it does not make you the controller of any processing. If you mix it with your company’s data, that is a matter for you and the GDPR.

Licence

Kit de la pyme © 2026 Bytenauta S.L. It is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence.

That means you can:

  • Copy it and redistribute it in any format.
  • Adapt it, extend it and build on it.
  • Use it for commercial purposes, including to sell your tool.

The only condition is to credit the source: “Kit de la pyme, Bytenauta S.L.”, with a link to the repository and to the licence, and to say whether you have changed it. You do not need to ask us for permission or tell us, although we like it when you do.

This licence covers the content of the kit. It does not cover the logo, the “Bytenauta” brand or the figures of Bytolo and the agents, which are not licensed with it.

No warranty

The kit is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind: not that it contains no errors, nor that it is fit for a particular purpose, nor that the correct answers that come with it are the only possible ones. It is made-up data for testing tools.

The kit is not accounting, tax or legal advice. The contract inside it is an exercise: do not use it as a model to sign anything. The calculations in the invoices and the receivables are there so that each task has an answer to give, not to keep your accounts.

Bytenauta S.L. is not liable for what happens as a result of using the kit or for the decisions you make based on it.

The figures we publish

The figures from each test come from running those tasks and counting the correct answers with fixed rules, not with another artificial intelligence acting as judge. They measure one specific version of a tool, on one specific date and with one specific configuration. Tools change from one week to the next: a figure from three months ago may not hold today.

Our figures do not say how that tool will behave with your data, your formats and your people. That is what the kit is for: repeat the test yourself.

The verdict of a test (“I would use it on Monday”, “not yet”, “hype”) is Bytenauta S.L.’s assessment of what it measured in that test. It is not a statement about the general quality of the product, about its maker or about what it does outside the five tasks of the kit.

You can quote and reproduce the figures from our tests, stating the source and linking to the issue they come from. If you use them, also say on what date they were measured.

Third-party trademarks

The names of tools, products and companies that appear in the kit and in the issues belong to their owners and are cited only to identify what has been tested. Mentioning them does not imply a commercial relationship, sponsorship, certification or recommendation by their owners.

If you think we have measured wrongly

Write to us at info@bytenauta.com with what you think is wrong. We check it and, if you are right, we correct the issue and note the date of the correction. The same goes for a reader and for the maker of the tool.

The rest of the terms of the site are in the legal notice, and what we do with data is in the privacy policy.
